Patelle Fragrance LLC ("Patelle," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, shop with us online, buy our products through a marketplace or social media shop, or make a purchase at our retail store in Lafayette, Indiana (together, our "Services"). It also explains the choices and rights you have regarding your information.

Our online store is operated on Shopify, and all personal information is processed and stored in the United States. By using our Services, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

Section 1: Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

• Contact information, such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.

• Order information, such as billing and shipping addresses, purchase history, and payment details. Payment card information is processed securely by our payment processors, and we do not store full card numbers.

• Shopping information, such as items you view, add to your cart, or save to a wishlist.

• Communications, such as messages you send us by email, through our website, or in person, including customer service inquiries and product reviews.

• Device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits, collected automatically when you use our website.

• In-store purchase information, such as items purchased and payment method.

• Marketplace order information, such as your name, shipping address, and order details, when you buy our products through a third-party marketplace or social media shop (see Section 6).

• Product reaction information, such as a description of a skin reaction you report to us, which we use only to handle your return and our product safety reviews and reporting.

We do not knowingly collect other sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers or precise geolocation, and we do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you.

We collect information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, sign up for our emails or text messages, contact customer service, leave a review, or otherwise interact with us.

We collect information automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies when you browse our website or open our emails, and through our point-of-sale system when you shop in our store.

We also receive information from third parties, such as Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, marketplaces and social media shops where you buy our products, and our advertising and analytics partners.

We use your personal information to:

• Process and fulfill your orders, including payment, shipping, returns, and customer service.

• Communicate with you about your orders, account, or questions.

• Send you marketing emails and text messages, including cart reminders, if you have opted in to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

Section 4: Cookies, Pixels, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to run the site, remember your cart and preferences, understand how visitors use our website, and measure and deliver advertising. We also use tools from advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok, which may collect information about your activity on our website to show you our ads on their platforms. Blocking cookies may not completely stop information from being shared with these partners.

You can control advertising and tracking in the following ways:

• Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. This may affect how our website works.

• Change your ad preferences in your Meta and TikTok account settings.

• Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

• Contact us to opt out of targeted advertising, as described in Section 9.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for that browser, where required by law. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no consistent industry standard for them.

Section 5: How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some state privacy laws may consider our use of advertising cookies and pixels to be a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of this as described in Sections 4 and 9.

We may share your information with:

• Service providers who help us run our business, such as Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfillment providers, website hosting providers, email and text message platforms, and IT providers.

• Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta and TikTok, as described in Section 4.

• Professional advisors, such as accountants, lawyers, and insurers, when needed for our business.

• Government authorities or other parties, when required by law, to respond to legal process, to meet product safety reporting requirements, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

• A buyer or successor business, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

Our service providers are required to use your information only to provide services to us and to protect it appropriately.

Section 6: Marketplace and Social Media Purchases

We sell our products through third-party marketplaces and social media shops, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay, Meta (Facebook and Instagram Shops), and TikTok Shop. When you buy our products through one of these platforms:

• The platform collects your information and shares with us what we need to fulfill your order, such as your name, shipping address, and order details.

• We use this information only to fulfill your order, provide customer service, handle returns, and meet legal, tax, and product safety requirements. We do not use it to send you marketing unless you sign up directly with us.

• The platform's own privacy policy also applies to your purchase. Please review the privacy policy of the platform you use.

Section 7: Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Privacy Policy, including providing our Services, maintaining your account, meeting legal and tax requirements, resolving disputes, and enforcing our policies. Information we receive from marketplaces is kept only as long as allowed by that marketplace's rules, unless we must keep it longer for legal or tax reasons.

Section 8: Data Security and Account Safety

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive information, such as full card numbers, by email or text.

If you create an account, please keep your password private and do not share it. If you believe your account has been used without permission, contact us right away.

Section 9: Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it.

• Access or receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format.

• Correct inaccurate information.

• Delete your personal information.

• Opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.

• Withdraw consent you have given us, such as for marketing messages.

We honor these requests for all customers, regardless of where you live, as long as we can verify your identity and the law allows it. To make a request, email info@patellefragrance.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe what you're asking for. We may ask for information such as your email address or order number to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Authorized agents: You may have someone else make a request for you. We will ask the agent for proof that you authorized them, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

No discrimination: We will not treat you differently, such as by charging different prices or refusing service, for exercising your privacy rights.

Appeals: If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact your state's attorney general.

California residents: In addition to the rights above, California law allows you to ask whether we have shared your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not do this. To make this request, email info@patellefragrance.com with the subject line "Shine the Light Request." Residents of Indiana and other states with consumer privacy laws may also have additional rights under those laws.

Section 10: Marketing Emails

If you opted in to our marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in any email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out, we may still send you messages about your account or orders, such as order and shipping confirmations.

Section 11: Text Messages (SMS/MMS)

If you opt in to our text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing messages at the phone number you provide, which may include promotions, new product announcements, and cart reminders. Our website uses cookies to track items in your cart, including when a cart is abandoned, to decide when to send a cart reminder text. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for help. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that help us send our messages, and as required by law.

Section 12: Product Reviews

If you post a review on our website, your review and the name you provide will be publicly visible. Please don't include personal information you don't want others to see. We are not responsible for how others use information you choose to make public.

Section 13: Third-Party Links

Our website may link to websites we don't operate, including marketplaces and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Section 14: Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it as soon as possible. Parents or guardians may contact us to request deletion. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website with a new "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes, we will also notify customers by email or with a notice on our website.
